Professionally, I have spent most of my career in information technology. I have worked or consulted in IT in industries as diverse as automobile racing manufacturing (accounting systems), aerospace (finite-element analysis), and magazine printing (imposition). I have done public-sector consulting at both the State- (strategic dashboards) and County-levels (decision-support training plans). I have done pro-bono work for a large Police Department. I have also done litigation consulting in the area of information technology. Academically, I have taught graduate courses at CSU Channel Islands. I have taught both undergraduate and graduate courses at CSU Northridge and UC Irvine. I have taught undergraduate courses at Santa Monica College. I have taught courses in Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Organizational Behavior, Knowledge Management, and Innovation and Technology. I have presented papers on topics in the areas of strategic management, broadband (xDSL), diffusion of XML technologies, open source development, aging of web content, and reflective learning.
